about

This one is about a very good friend of mine, however more meaning seams to arise from the reflections of our inside jokes than I had imagined when first writing the song. Especially considering it was supposed to sound nonsensical when I first wrote it.

lyrics

-Verse 1-
Yeah we met way back in school,
something about a dynasty,
and no one could play.
Well I'd be chillin' with Parker,
Parker Johnstonstein,
you know I'm funny that way.
Down to the reservoir,
you know it's warmer than the sea,
well we'd go every day.
And when I'm even flyin' by,
I know you'll even fly with me,
I'd be like even hurray.

-Pre-chorus-
I'm through with making sense, I'm talking jibberish, but I, I know you'll understand, stand, stand what I say.

-Chorus-
Bones tell me what is your opinion,
I know you've got one on everything.
Well why might the sky be blue,
and why might the grass be green.
Tell me whaddya think about life, and death,
and everything in between.
You know it's you and me,
and we're takin' on the world

-Verse 2-
(scat solo)
That's a little thing that we call scat,
I know how funny you'll find that,
but it's all just a matter of opinion.
So let's sit d-d-d-down and watch
my voice go trailin' off down the train tracks,
takin' all my sense with it.
